KABUL, JUNE 10 - ELEVEN CHINESE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS WERE GUNNED DOWN THURSDAY IN A USUALLY PEACEFUL AREA OF NORTH-EASTERN AFGHANISTAN IN THE WORST ATTACK ON FOREIGNERS SINCE THE FALL OF THE TALIBAN NEARLY THREE YEARS AGO. AROUND 20 ARMED MEN STORMED A COMPOUND HOUSING CHINESE WORKERS BUILDING A ROAD IN KUNDUZ PROVINCE, 250 KILOMETRES (150 MILES) NORTH OF KABUL, AND OPENED FIRE ON SLEEPING WORKERS WITH AUTOMATIC WEAPONS
